Do I need a referral from my Doctor to attend ProActive Physiotherapy?

No you don't require a Doctors referral to seek ProActive's physiotherapy.  We  are able to begin the ACC application process for you at your first appointment.   If you require specialist input we are able to refer you to the most appropriate provider for your injury needs.

What is the cost of your services?

Please refer to services page for more information on Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology pricing. For all other services please call 0800 TOTAL YOU for more information.

What should I bring with me to my first appointment?

If you have any information eg:  ACC number, reports from injury investigations, previous providers or Doctors, please bring these along to help us with your assessment.

Please attend your first appointment in appropriate clothing for your site of injury (eg: shorts and T-shirt for a knee injury, sports bra or singlet for back injuries).  ProActive is based within Fitness clubs; this means all of our clients must wear shoes.

 

Do I have to be a gym member?

No, and in fact if you are not and your treatment is best performed in the gym environment, we provide you with a pass to do this.  (note: different timeframes for different programmes).

 

How long will appointments last?

Appointment time vary according to your needs and type of programme.  This will be discussed as part of you first session.

How many times will I need to see you? 

This is again injury dependent and will be suited to you as an individual. As mentioned throughout this website, we are big on quality and ensuring you are not treated like a number. So we will always be looking to work with you to get the best results.

Activity Based programmes are supervised throughout and appointments are set at regular intervals throughout the week.

 

Do I have to perform my programme in the gym?

No you don’t have to perform your programme in the gym. We do have private rooms available if you are uncomfortable with the gym environment or we can provide you with a home based programme.  However, the gym is a wellness environment with state of the art equipment that can’t be beat!

  

What hours are you open? Can I get an appointment after work?

Yes you can get an appointment after work, however these are premium slots so be sure to book ahead with your physio!

We are open from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday. 

We also provide physiotherapy services to sports teams on Saturdays!
